The Summer School is a unique programme where the participants will gain the opportunity to maximize their potential as basketball players and students.
Twice a week, they will be instructed by some of the best coaches in the country. The players enrolled will learn essential individual fundamentals and improve their athleticism. London Rens' team of excellent coaches will give one on one attention to the participants, ensuring that they have all the support they need to take their game to the 'next level.'
Simultaneously participants will have to complete an on-line mathematics programme which will be “tailor made” for them with help from their mathematics teacher at school. • Are born between September 1 1994 and August 31 1997 (School years 8-10)
• Attends school or is a resident of one of London’s 33 boroughs
How much does a child have to pay to attend the program?
There will be no cost to the child to attend any part of the program
When will the program start and finish?
The programme will start on Tuesday June 22 2010 and finish on Sunday July 25 2010.

How is the mathematics programme structured?
When a child enrolls on the programme we will contact their maths teacher who will decide the topics they will study. This work is done in their own time using http://www.conquermaths.com. Every Sunday children can receive help from a teacher (before or after their basketball session dependant on the time of their session) if they need additional support. At the end of the 5 weeks they will sit an exam that they would need to pass (pass marks consistent with those used in SATs and GCSEs) to attend the summer camp.
